Cherry Time!

Here we are with our finished 2017 raffle quilt, Cherry Time based on Anne Sommerlad's pattern Cheritaimu.

Susie Anderson of Leura Quilting has created magic with her long arm quilting and added an extra layer of beauty to the quilt.

You can see the quilting better in this photo.

Cherry Time will soon start the rounds of quilt shops where it can be admired in person. We'll keep you posted as to where and when as it's starts travelling.
In the meantime don't forget to get your quilts entered and volunteer some time to help out at the show. The forms are on the right hand side of this page.

Entry Forms are open!!

It’s time to grab your needles and thread and get your quilt entries ready for the 2017 Springwood Community Quilt Show.
The forms are on the right hand corner of this page. You'll see the entry form , Conditions and the volunteer form. The online form is very easy to use, it's just a matter of filling in your details. Alternately you can download the form, print it out and send it to the address supplied. Don't forget to read the Conditions first.

You can enter up to 3 items. These can be old quilts or new quilts you haven’t finished yet (you have until April to finish it so it’s plenty of time). They can be any style of quilt or quilted items - small ones, big ones(up to 290cm), round ones (we did once have a round quilt) table runners, wall hangings etc.

The one requirement is that you have a connection to the Blue Mountains region. We classify this are as being from Bathurst to Penrith. Or perhaps you do classes with one of our amazing Blue Mountains teachers, we'd love to see your quilts! If you're not sure whether you fit the bill just email us at springwoodquiltshow@hotmail.com

As part of the entry we ask that you volunteer some time. We can't stress enough how important volunteers are to running the show. We literally couldn't have a show without all the wonderful help from volunteers. With your help we raised $8000.00 for the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service plus supplies and money for the textiles department at Springwood High School.
We have lots of different jobs from setting up to white gloving, selling tickets, helping in the cafe. If you can think of some other way you'd like to help out just email us at springwoodquiltshow@hotmail.com.

We've added a fun new option to our volunteer list this year. You can help by baking a cake or slice for the cafe. Donating a delicious home made baked goods will help us keep us with the high demand for tasty treats at our busy cafe. You know how viewing quilts can really work up an appetite!

The closing date for entries is March 17th, But don't leave it until the last minute, be an early bird and then you know it's done. Go on - jump online today!
