Day 2 of the quilt show.

It's been another long and fabulous day at the Springwood Community Quilt Show. Here are just a few of the highlights of the show.

Isobel Lancashire is an absolute treasure!! She takes part in the show every year by being there to demonstrate hand quilting. Take the time to say hello and she'll tell you amazing stories of quilting, sewing and more.

Here is Chris Jurd admiring Isobel's beautiful stitches.

Chris Jurd's featured quilter area on stage looks wonderful filled with many of her quilts. I won't show photos yet because I don't want to spoil it for those who are visiting tomorrow. Viewers are sure to be inspired and it's great because Chris is on hand to answer questions and she has patterns for all her quilts for sale.

Meanwhile on the other side of the hall the kitchen is a busy hive of food preparation.

Devonshire teas were selling like hot cakes

And the cakes and slices were popular too.

There are also different types of soups and an array of tasty sandwiches.
Three cheers to Carol and her team for doing such an amazing job in the cafe!

And finally today's viewer's choice was awarded to...

 Happy as a Clam

by Rachaeldaisy.

The description reads: "The goal was to make a clamshell quilt using recycled denim and when the name Happy As A Clam came to me it set the cheerful theme for the quilt."
Rachaeldaisy says a huge Thank you!! to all those who voted for her quit and for saying such lovely compliments about it.

There's still another day of the show to go. Doors open tomorrow at 10am, we hope to see you there.
