2012 Featured Guest Quilter - Lynne Alchin

The Show is celebrating its 7th year with featured quilt artist this year Lynne Alchin.  Lynne is known to many mountain quilters as the previous owner of her lovely shop, Hearts and Hands in Wentworth Falls.  After many years, Lynne has now moved on to be a very much in demand teacher in shops and venues across NSW.  Attributed to Lynne's following are her stress free classes with her fabulous sense of style which is evident in all her antique - style quilts.  Lynne is able to show students how to create reproduction quilts using new fabrics along with exquisite applique and piecing.  Lynne will be on stage with a large selection of her favourite quilts especially chosen for this year's show.  Previous visitors will be thrilled to see Lynne's designed raffle quilt from 2008, "Alice's Tea Party", which went on to win Best of Group category at the Sydney Quilt Show. We thank the current owner for allowing it to be hung amongst Lynne's favourites.  Patterns will be available for some of the quilts and Lynne will be very happy to discuss any aspects of quilting you may have on Saturday and Sunday.  Due to an earlier commitment, Lynne will not be available on Friday but her quilts will be on show.
